摘要: We present a detailed analysis of 101 white dwarf main-sequence binaries (WDMS) from the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS) for which multiple SDSS spectra are available. detect significant radial velocity variations in 18 WDMS, identifying them as post-common-envelope (PCEBs) or strong PCEB candidates. Strict upper limits to orbital periods calculated, ranging 0.43 7880 d. Given sparse temporal sampling and relatively low spectral resolution spectra, our results imply fraction greater than similar 15 per cent among WDMS data base. Using decomposition/fitting technique we determined effective temperatures surface gravities, masses secondary star types all sample. Two independent distance estimates obtained flux-scaling factors between models templates, respectively. Approximately one-third systems sample show discrepancy two estimates. In majority discrepant cases, estimate based on is too large. A possible explanation this behaviour that systematically early by one classes. This could be explained stellar activity, if covering cool dark spots will raise temperature interspot regions. Finally, discuss selection effects provided project.
