摘要: Wave energy sites around Scotland, are considered one of the most energetic waters, as they exposed to Atlantic Ocean. The amount reaching shoreline provides an opportunity for wave deployments. Currently, considerations on devices expect them be installed at nearshore locations. That means that potential resource has investigated, since deep shallow water interactions alter shape propagated waves. Resource assessment these regions is essential in order estimate available and extractable resource. Although several numerical models exist modelling, not all suitable applications. For present work, model SWAN been used simulate waves Hebridean region. set-up, calibration validation discussed. resulting conditions compared with buoy measurements. Results indicate modelling technique performed well.
