摘要: When compared to the other candidate states of Central and Eastern Europe, Romania emerged as a laggard transition. Its integration into European Union has been marked by much uncertainty setbacks, well profound delays in fulfilling EU's entry conditions. As difficult case, dynamics Romania's EU accession provide insight potential limits leverage, revealing how domestic factors can be decisive constraining external influence. Focusing on reform trajectory fields judiciary reforms, anti-corruption border policies between 1989 2007, this study assesses interaction politics role slowing down internal reforms.
