摘要: Concrete bridge structures can have doubled service lives and shortened installation times through use of stay-in-place composite formwork, such as inflatable arches. The Advanced Structures & Composites Center at the University Maine, Orono, worked on this related technology in response to problems with steel-reinforced concrete structures, including corrosion that may ultimately result spalling premature loss structural integrity. Discussion includes data collection modeling a demonstrator project outside Pittsfield, Maine.
