Results of Heller's operation for achalasia of the oesophagus. The importance of hiatal repair

摘要: A survey of 108 patients with achalasia treated by cardiomyotomy is reported. All the operations were done abdominal approach and all followed up for a minimum 4 years. Fifty-five had some form hiatal reconstruction, 11 these having formal plastic repair as practised oesophageal reflux problems.
