摘要: Abstract Effect of nonionic surfactants on the performance cloud-point extraction (CPE) processes in preconcentrating trace amount polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), consisting two to five fused rings, from aqueous solution at 25 °C was studied. Three biodegradable with molecular similarity were employed. Cloud-point temperatures (CPTs) these micellar solutions regulated and reduced enough addition sodium sulfate phosphate, so that CPE process could be facilitated 25 °C. Furthermore, quadratic equations additive concentration are found fit CPTs well. It is observed preconcentration factor enhanced either by increasing salt or decreasing initial surfactant present solution. With around 15 18 °C Na2SO4 Na3PO4, factors between 30 45 obtained 1 wt% three appear order Tergitol 15-S-9 > Neodol 25-7 > Tergitol 15-S-7, coincidently hydrophilicity surfactants. The average empirically fitted well as a simple power-law function used process. empirical indices close negative unity.
