摘要: BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE: Although the 12-minute 3D fast asymmetric spin-echo (FASE) protocol for imaging inner ear has been satisfactory, reducing time to minimize patient discomfort and maximize system throughput is desirable. We therefore evaluated performance of a zero-fill interpolated (ZIP) recovery FASE sequence in screening cerebellopontine (CP) angle lesions 90 seconds. METHODS: Thirty consecutive patients known or suspected have CP underwent MR at 1.5 T with use bilateral quadrature phased-array coils designed examination angle. Conventional images (4000/240/1 [TR/TE/NEX]) were obtained 11 minutes 48 seconds field view (FOV) 16 cm, matrix 512 × 40, section thickness 0.8 mm, echo train length 80. Then, ZIP (2000/240/1) by using same FOV. Contrast-enhanced T1-weighted spoiled gradient-echo (SPGR) as reference standard. Three radiologists independently. reviewed separate sessions. RESULTS: On SPGR images, 10 tumors detected 30 patients. All depicted both protocols. There no false-positive results either protocol. Both protocols showed 100% sensitivity specificity all three reviewers. CONCLUSION: High-spatial-resolution cisternography substantial reduction (by factor about eight) required compared previously reported conventional protocol, while maintaining high specificity.
