摘要: This study, carried out between September 2006 and January 2007, is the first cross-sectional serological investigation of peste-des-petits-ruminants (PPR) Rift Valley fever (RVF) in Tunisia. The objective was to assess potential need develop a dual, recombinant PPR–RVF vaccine how such might be utilised An overall PPR seroprevalence 7.45% determined, finding supported by high specificity (99.4%) sensitivity (94.5%) ELISA used. On assessment diversity density mosquitoes sampling area, four species RVF-vectors genus Aedes Culex were identified. However, no evidence RVF found despite use highly sensitive (99–100%). Larger scale investigations are underway confirm these findings continuation emergency vaccination program against two diseases remains valid.
