摘要: Peat is extensively used in olive nurseries as a primary coniponeTiFifrcommfercial soilless potting media. The increased use of peat an organic amendment with superior water holding capacity challenged by economic and environmental pressures. To stay competitive satisfy concerns, potential alternatives to need be investigated. In the present investigation, commercially available peat-based soil- less mixes were amended 25%, 50%, 75% or 100% green compost generated from biosolids. Results suggest that can viable partial alternative substrate for containerized nur- sery production. Media 25 50% provided plants better growth appea- rance compared unamended On other hand, higher content (75 100%), even though not affecting plant growth, improved susceptibility shortage. Green did also impro- ve heavy metal tissues. Concluding, media partially may have positive agronomic consequences commercial nursery
