摘要: We are at an early stage of a massive global build-up public infrastructure. Long lifetimes, high money costs and resource-intensity, the rippling effects built environment on all aspects daily life call for informed conversation about available choices before they become fait accompli. Substantial literatures address phenomenon in terms economic development, resource scarcities, impacts climate ecosystems, technological options, human rights, funding sources, system governance, inter-governmental agreements. This paper describes modeling framework that integrates some these concerns differential large-scale centralized infrastructure systems, smaller-scale decentralized hybrid combinations. Building existing collaborations between economists engineers, proposes case-study research strategy to organize new types technical information supplement databases world economy. The needed model extensions estimate costs, requirements, recovery potential, jobs livelihoods under alternative assumptions. agenda supports Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by identifying evaluating globally relevant designs. SDG process, turn, provides both network concern promote local development which proposed effort aims contribute.
