摘要: Analysis of the prognostic importance various clinicopathological parameters in 17 hepatoblastomas (HBs) confirmed utility preoperative chemotherapy to convert inoperable resectable tumors. There was no significant survival advantage for patients who underwent initial tumor resection compared with those resected following chemotherapy, although complete resection, or without prior critical cure. Young age associated better but did not correlate histologic subtype clinical stage. A relationship between low alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) level and resectability noted, perhaps related size, location greater than size determining resectability.
