摘要: Abstract Some sodium— and lithium—silicate pH responsive glasses exhibited a stepwise alkali ion profile with distance inwards towards the glass as result of attack by aqueous solutions, ie , average concentration gel layer was low but increased rapidly within transition region between bulk. The electrical resistivity factor at least five times lower than that original glass. An extremely high resistance in found to be proportional chemical durability independent hydration time. smaller size lithium which favours stronger binding, compared sodium ion, well action calcium silicate network block ion/hydrogen exchange were among factors orders magnitude. Equilibrium conditions not reached for deeper parts layers. same order ideal function electrode. thus useful deducing compositions suitable electrode purposes.
