摘要: Jatropha curcas L. is one potential source of non-edible biofuel-producing energy crop. Its importance also lies in its medicinal properties. The species primarily propagated through heterozygous seeds, and thus the seed oil content varies from 4 to 40%. Moreover, due perennial nature, setting requires 2 3 years time. viability rate germination are low, quality screening another laborious task; thus, propagation alone cannot provide planting material for sustainable use. Somatic embryogenesis, a powerful tool plant biotechnology faster production has been successfully applied regenerate plants first Embryogenic calli were obtained leaf explants on MS basal medium supplemented with only 9.3 μM Kn. Induction globular somatic embryos 58% cultures was achieved different concentrations 2.3–4.6 Kn 0.5–4.9 IBA; 2.3 1.0 IBA proved be most effective combination embryo induction curcas. Addition 13.6 adenine sulphate stimulated process development embryos. Mature converted plantlets half strength 90% survival field condition. whole required 12–16 weeks culture completion all steps regeneration. This protocol embryogenesis may an ideal system future transgenic research.
