The hybridization of Ag2CO3 rods with g-C3N4 sheets with improved photocatalytic activity

摘要: Abstract A series of graphitic carbon nitride/silver carbonate (g-C 3 N 4 /Ag 2 CO ) rod-like composites with different weight contents g-C have been prepared by a facile precipitation method. The exhibited higher photocatalytic activity than pure Ag toward degradation rhodamine B (RhB) and methylene blue (MB) under visible-light irradiation. reaction follows pseudo-first-order the rate constants for RhB MB 3.5% are about times 1.7 that , respectively. possible mechanism was proposed based on photoluminescence (PL) spectra radical trapping experimental analyses. remarkably improved performance should be ascribed to heterostructure between which greatly promoted photoinduced charge transfer inhibited recombination electrons holes.
