摘要: Abstract Lipids are integral part of cell membranes and play a vital role in biological processes such as membrane fusion, exocytosis, signaling, disease progression. Uniquely defined chemical structures lipids well their assembly the aqueous environment often known to dictate activity. Some these features have been exploited develop carriers for drugs, bioactive molecules, nucleic acids. Lipid-based nanocarriers (specifically liposomes) claimed status field cancer nanomedicine. Liposomes, longest studied (at least since four decades), currently used clinics delivery drugs treat certain types cancers though not at full potential. Further development this by utilizing site-specific targeting molecules and/or efforts generate tunable liposomes can be predicted enhance suitability clinical settings. In general, biophysical properties lipid primarily (stimuli-sensitive) liposomes. Research activities toward stimuli-responsive broadly classified into internal (pH, redox, enzyme) or external (heat, light magnetic field, ultrasound) stimulus. review, we will discuss current latest developments stimuli-sensitive The topics covered review include (i) brief summary clinics, liposomes; (ii) triggering events inclusion coagents (iii) based on yield heat, light, pH, enzyme-activatable (iv) limitations future directions clinically viable
