摘要: Objectives This study was designed to investigate the associations between clinical, pathologic, and therapeutic parameters of facial basal cell carcinoma (BCC) recurrence rates in patients treated at an advanced care center. Methods A retrospective cohort performed. Patients who presented center within a 6-year period with BCC received surgical treatment were included for further review according predefined inclusion criteria. The predictor variable defined as “negative-margin (R0) resection after first surgery”. primary outcome “BCC recurrence”. Descriptive inferential statistics computed. significance level set P ≤ 0.05. Results A total 71 (29 female, 42 male; average age: 71.76 years) found meet all All BCCs had been referred, 50.7% submitted previous surgery. mean ± standard deviation tumor diameter 2.3 1.8 cm. Recurrence observed 11 (15.5%). Large diameters, increased patient age, failure achieve R0 appointment significantly rates. Conclusions Complete excision is pivotal reducing likelihood recurrence. influence anatomic location on may be limited.
