摘要: Anticholinesterase agents, in particular organophosphorus esters (OPs), represent the most extensively studied class of chemicals toxicology. This chapter deals with clinical aspects OP toxicology humans, mentioning(where appropriate), those other anticholinesterase agents and supporting experimental evidence animals as well. The cholinergic syndrome is characterized by overstimulation receptors throughout body. It may be consequence single or repeated exposures to a variety such OPs carbamates, which inhibit acetyl-cholinesterase (AChE) at synaptic level. exert their toxic action interfering transmission. molecular mechanism toxicity involves interaction AChE, almost completely explains all signs symptoms acute poisoning. Symptoms are related excess acetyl-choline consequent districts central peripheral nervous systems (CNS PNS) where acetylcholine acts neurotransmitter. pictures poisoning reflect degree accumulation neurotransmitter that causes various organs. Early effects stimulation facilitation sites, followed, higher concentrations anticholinesterases, inhibition paralysis.
