摘要: The purpose of this paper is to propose a framework lexical meaning, broadly along the lines Cognitive Semantics (Langacker 1987a). focuses on interpretations adjective-noun (ADJ N ) combinations in English. Within proposed model, all aspects meaning are be explained terms properties ontologies conceptual space, i.e. content and schematic construals which cognitive operations imposed structures occasion use. It through ontological that different readings expressions arise. Lexical meanings dynamic sensitive contextual demands, rather than fixed stable. In usage-based model like this, polysemy multiple emerge as natural consequence human ability think flexibly. (Less)
