摘要: Abstract A study of the dissolution and repassivation Fe-11.6 at%Cr, Fe-17.4 at%Cr Fe-24.3 alloys in a pencil type artificial pit simulating one-dimensional diffusion has been carried out chloride-containing bulk solution. The attainment saturation products within was characterized by formation salt layer on alloy surface. transport model used to calculate decrease concentration at metal interface for currents below that required maintain layer. surface calculated from balance electrochemical localized environment. It found rate showed maximum particular increased with increasing chromium alloy. Passivation took place when dropped critical concentration. which hence, tendency increase content also kinetics were affected film present after had dissolved. could be slowly removed or undermined maintaining high anodic absence
