摘要: Abstract Experimental data on the energy spectra, correlation coefficients and isotropy of atmospheric turbulence at low elevations are presented. It is shown that very simple formulas derived with aid Kolmogoroff's Similarity Hypothesis remarkably consistent experimental evidence this other research projects. The Hypothesis, although only directly applicable to turbulent eddies small enough be isotropic, appears in some instances useful its simplest form for problems scales varying between one cm a thousand km. Some possible applications described together regions where might expected hold. Several measurements vertical heat flux various were made rapid-response equipment. A systematic variation elevation was noted even involved.
