摘要: Abstract Background We sought to better understand reasons for not obtaining desired contraception among women presenting a pregnancy termination. Study Design A survey was completed by prior having an abortion procedure. Reasons lack of access were categorized as institutional, individual and compliance issues. Descriptive statistics calculated variables compared using χ 2 tests. Results Participants ( n =298) ranged in age from 18 48 years. One third reported contraceptive use (37%). Approximately 72% some reason contraception, while 34% two or more. The distribution individual, 44%, 28%, 24%, respectively. Report at least one associated with 35% increase non-use (RR=1.35; 95% CI, 1.02–1.80) after adjusting age, race, education, parity, abortion. Conclusions Many exist are contraception. Removing these may help reduce unintended pregnancies rates
