摘要: PURPOSE OF THE STUDY The present study aimed to analyse both, the functional outcome and quality of life after surgical treatment periprosthetic fractures following TKA. MATERIAL AND METHODS A retrospective review all knee arthroplasty which have been surgically treated at our institution between January 2005 2012 was conducted. Beside epidemiologic data, type surgery postoperative complications were recorded. assessed using range motion, Knee Society Score VAS evaluate pain. Quality evaluated SF-36 WOMAC. Furthermore patients mobility comorbidities analysed. RESULTS 25 (mean age 76 ± 8 years; m:w 5:20) included. overall complication rate 24%. Mean KSS score 73 19 a function 41 36. Range motion revealed 95° 24° (active) 98° 16° (passive). total scored mean 6 29 in average considering WOMAC index (pain: 20; stiffness: 23 27; daily: 47 29). 20% able mobilise without help as opposed 80% that need for assistance. Our analysis no influence final fracture or treatment. Multiple regression could not reveal significant comorbidities. CONCLUSION Periprosthetic are accompanied by decrease well high rates. Since patient's apparently depends on outcome, future efforts should aim improve these parameters. Key words: fracture, arthroplasty, life, locking plate.
