摘要: Summary The effect of silicon on growth and water status Pinus taeda L. seedlings was studied under normal conditions during induced water-stress. Seedlings were grown either a sand or fritted clay medium supplemented with nutrient solutions containing 0, 60 100 mg l −1 K 2 SiO 3 . Silicon-treated seedling fascicles accumulated times more than did controls. Fresh dry weights enhanced by silicon; the percentage increase in compared controls greater water-stress conditions. associated higher osmotic potentials, symplastic volume, increased tissue elasticity, less turgor. These data suggest that enhances pine increasing cell expansion.
