摘要: This text presents a rigorous mathematical account of the principles quantum mechanics, in particular as applied to chemistry and chemical physics. Applications are used illustrations basic theory. The first two chapters serve an introduction theory, although it is assumed that reader has been exposed elementary mechanics part undergraduate physical or atomic physics course. Following discussion wave motion leading Schrodinger's postulates presented along with essential concepts techniques. rigorously harmonic oscillator, angular momentum, hydrogen atom, variation method, perturbation nuclear motion. Modern theoretical such hermitian operators, Hilbert space, Dirac notation, ladder operators introduced throughout. appropriate for beginning graduate students chemistry, physics, molecular materials science.
