摘要: Both morbidity and mortality of cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) increase with age. The increased prevalence risk factors age aging contribute to the association between CVDs. Most developed countries would benefit from development novel therapeutics control because they are confronted an aged society. Dietary restriction (DR) including caloric (CR) alternate-day fasting is established nutritional intervention scientifically proved anti-aging effects. Recent experimental clinical investigations demonstrate that DR exerts pleiotropic effects on system. CR prevents progression atherosclerosis vascular via direct indirect mechanisms. cardiac senescence by attenuating oxidative damage enhancing autophagy, leading improved function in animals. improves myocardial ischemic tolerance rodents all ages. counteracts age-associated changes autonomic nerve function. may mitigate metabolic cardiomyopathy associated obesity type 2 diabetes mellitus. mechanisms underlying beneficial multifaceted, but considerable progress has been made past decade toward their understanding. reveal triggers active defense response against stressful conditions. At center this protective signals, which include mammalian target rapamycin, AMP-activated kinase, sirtuins, endothelial nitric oxide synthase. They form a network both positive negative feedbacks. Therefore, mimetics can replicate promising interventions for regulating managing patients
