摘要: Purpose: This outcomes study was designed to provide a comprehensive evaluation of modified condylotomy for the treatment painful temporomandibular joint with reducing disc displacement (Wilkes stage II, early III). Patients and Methods: A prospective 48 consecutive patients (79 joints) conducted. All displacements were verified by imaging. Independent evaluations performed assess pain, dysfunction, progression disease before at intervals up 1 year after operation. Thirty-one (50 completed examination operation later. Patient-based assessments made pain diet in 22 (35 3 years Results: The mean (±SE) visual analog scale (VAS) score improved from 6.9 ± 0.4 2.0 later P Conclusion: Modified is an effective treating diminished function joints displacement. It also slowing and, some cases, reversing internal derangement.
