摘要: Chronic intermittent alcohol vapor exposure leads to increased dynorphin (DYN) A-like peptide expression and heightened kappa-opioid receptor (KOR) signaling in the central nucleus of amygdala (CeA) these neuroadaptive responses differentiate alcohol-dependent from non-dependent phenotypes. Important for therapeutic development efforts is understanding nature stimulus that drives dependence-like phenotypes such as escalated self-administration. Accordingly, present study examined impact intra-CeA KOR antagonism on operant self-administration physiological withdrawal symptoms during acute protracted abstinence rats previously exposed chronic vapor. Following training, were implanted with guide cannula long-term resulted elevated signs withdrawal. Animals received infusions antagonist nor-binaltorphimine (nor-BNI; 0, 2, 4, or 6 μg) prior sessions assessment abstinence. The results indicated site-specific CeA ameliorated both test sessions, whereas had no effect scores at either time point. These dissociate relation help clarify
