摘要: We modified the standard, stratified random block design used typically in aerial surveys of moose (Alces alces). laid a grid approximately 9 km2 cells over our study area, and GIS was then to allocate polygons into one 2 strata within each cell. The were based upon vegetation attributes that predicted have either high or low density from previous research. assumed early seral forest stands ( 1 polygons. Adjacent amalgamated produce sample units with >4 stratum area. Real-time navigation flight track recorded map units, boundaries, topographic features accurately identify polygon boundaries assign sighted appropriate strata. concluded approach efficient effective fine-grained environments where relative selection by for patches is well understood, those are mapped digital databases.
