摘要: To investigate the effect of pituitary adenoma compressing optic chiasm on multifocal visual evoked potential (mfVEP) responses and to compare these with field defects seen static automated perimetry (SAP). Eight eyes four subjects (median age, 41.50 years; interquartile range, 33–51 years) who were diagnosed magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) have a bitemporal defect standard (SAP), twelve age-matched normal 47.00 years; 34.75–51.75 years) subjected testing. The monocular latencies amplitudes each sector cases compared normative database. topography mfVEP response was corresponding as in total deviation threshold SAP allow comparison conventional subjective perimetry. reduced areas SAP. In 6 out 8 eyes, locations preserved no showed prolonged latency. A median latency 9.17 ms (interquartile 3.44–17.69 ms) when 1.67 ms 0.94–4.17 ms) controls P value 0.054. Chiasmal compression due causes reduction prolongation response. can be used assess objectively compressive neuropathy secondary adenomas. It assessing whose report is unreliable an early sign disease.
