摘要: Abstract The dynamics of a classical hard-sphere system has as peculiarities that the particles suffer instantaneous collisions and certain (“overlapping”) areas in phase space are not accessible to particles. It is mainly latter feature prevents straightforward application usual binary collision expansion, generating particle trajectories. Depending on how relevant streaming operators extended overlapping expansions can be developed. different expressions so far proposed critically examined restrictions their applicability determined. binary-collision expansion for potentials consisting hard core soft tail also discussed.
