摘要: Abstract Volumetric properties of N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone (NMP) binary mixtures with γ-butyrolactone (GBL) and propylene carbonate (PC) are calculated from the experimental densities reported in temperature range (293.15 to 323.15) K at atmospheric pressure (0.1 MPa) over whole composition range. The excess molar volumes have positive values concentration case (NMP + PC) mixture, maximum value equimolar composition, indicating weaker interactions between components after mixing. Two extreme VE observed (NMP + GBL) system: x(NMP) = 0.4 minimum x(NMP) = 0.9. Negative NMP-rich region consequence better geometrical fit molecules. binaries analyzed using Prigogine–Flory–Paterson theoretical model. An excellent agreement is observed. Apparent thermal expansion coefficients also calculated. Viscosity measurements pure NMP GBL PC were performed (298.15 323.15) K. Using obtained viscosities several semi-empirical equations models tested.
