摘要: Stegonia latifolia (Schwaegr. in Schult.) Vent. ex Broth. is recorded from the Antarctic on basis of specimens collected Signy Island, South Orkney Island and King George Shetland Islands. The material briefly described illustrated world geographical distribution this species reviewed mapped. This also first well documented record genus outside Holarctic. It suggested that S. lorentzii (C. Muell.) I. Hag. & Printz Andes Argentina, another included genus, conspecific with Saitoella peruviana (R. Williams) Menzel. A list strictly bipolar moss western hemisphere reassessed two species, Ditrichum heteromallum (Hedw.) Britt. Tortella torluosa Limpr., are excluded it.
