摘要: Routine agricultural practices are heavily dependent on the use of surfactants, many which toxic to humans and detrimental environment. In proof concept work we have previously shown potential nanostructured liquid crystalline particles (NLCP) safely interact with plant leaf cuticular surfaces minimal impact epicuticular waxes. Here demonstrate NLCP effectively deliver auxin herbicide 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2,4-D) leaves in laboratory field studies. laboratory, physiological stress responses lupin, Lupinus angustifolius (L.) (Fabaceae) towards spray applications were be much reduced comparison application two common surfactants. Phytotoxicity assays 2,4-D loaded used validate herbicidal effects Arabidopsis thaliana Heynth. (Brassicaceae) established a similarity that surfactant assisted delivery when tested at concentration 0.1%. Field trials conducted test efficacy NLCP-assisted commercial surfactants for control invasive weed wild radish, Raphanus raphanistrum (Brassicaceae), wheat, Triticum aestivum (Poaceae) crop fields. Compared against Estercide 800, commercially available formulation, was effective low concentrations 0.03% 0.06%. The yield remained similar all formulations 800. This is first report directly show that, as an alternative conventional methods, can under both conditions successfully agrochemical.
