摘要: OBJECTIVES While involving patients in health technology assessment (HTA) has become increasingly common and important around the world, little is known about optimal methods of evaluating patients' involvement (PI) HTA. This scoping review was undertaken to provide an overview currently available for evaluation PI, specifically impact PI on HTA recommendations. METHODS A literature search conducted using nine databases as well a grey websites 26 organizations related conduct, practice or research identify articles, reports abstracts RESULTS We identified 1,248 unique citations, six which met our eligibility criteria. These records (five one report) were all published after 2012. Four assessed patient experience submissions final recommendations; evaluated direct committees, multiple forms involvement. Methods included quantitative analyses reimbursement decisions, qualitative interviews with those directly involved assessment, surveys groups committee members, reports. CONCLUSIONS Quantitative based associations funding decisions may not be feasible fully capture relevant technologies. Rather, combination both strategies allow most comprehensive recommendations when possible.
