摘要: Abstract This paper examines the use of FrothSim flotation simulator to improve performance an industrial column cell. The retreat cell is simulated, and, from discrepancies between simulated and experimental results, a problem with wash water distribution postulated. scientific reason for reduced uneven addition described in detail. Further simulations indicated potential improvement even distribution, resulting both improved usage. was confirmed industrially, headers were redesigned installed. A sampling campaign compare before after modifications showed that dramatically, statistically significant decrease gangue recovery, without commensurate reduction valuable mineral recovery.
