摘要: Background Cyclic vomiting syndrome (CVS) is a functional gastrointestinal disorder that characterized by recurrent episodes of intense vomiting. There are several postulated mechanisms involved in its pathogenesis and one potential explanation for this may be linked to autonomic dysfunction. The aim our study was evaluate nerve function patients with CVS prospectively. Methods We tested the sympathetic nervous system through postural changes heart rate (HR) blood pressure thermoregulatory sweat test. parasympathetic HR response deep breathing (R-R variability on EKG). Key Results A total 20 who met Rome III criteria CVS, 14 (70%) women 6 (30%) men, controls were enrolled study. 17 (85%) subjects 2 (10%) had abnormalities testing (P 30 standing. Of subjects, 18 (90%) either abnormal sudomotor or tachycardia both. normal 19 (95%) controls. Conclusions & Inferences results suggest majority have impairment and/or dysfunction while appears intact. These findings dysautonomia implications both diagnosis treatment these patients.
