摘要: The shale of Yanchang Formation in Upper Triassic is the most important source rock for Mesozoic petroleum reserviors Ordos Basin. Chang 7 and 4+5 members are major formation. Source samples, obtained from 22 cored wells central Basin, were geochemically analyzed to determine organic matter abundance, kerogen type thermal maturity. Total carbon values ranged 0.36% 19.10%, 8.09% on average, indicating a good potential. In this area, mature, as indicated by vitrinite reflectance values. Rock-Eval data revealed that samples dominated II kerogen. Compare members, which suggests has higher TOC, especially highest lower members. abundance both richest southeast basin. upper II1, counterpart middle member I. During burial history, total hydrocarbon-generating quantity much more than
