摘要: Abstract Objectives We investigated the response of oral cancer cells to intracellular invasion Porphyromonas gingivalis define changes in biological characteristics evoked by presence pathogenic bacteria within a tumour microenvironment. Designs The proliferative activity, cell cycle, and autophagic were evaluated infected with P. 381. ROS generation was detected these DCFDA assay, its role responses infection further investigated. Resutls inhibited proliferation inducing G1 cycle arrest, but had no effect on apoptosis. Following gingivalis, expression cyclin D1 cdk4 decreased cells, whereas p21, Cdk inhibitor, upregulated, comparison non-infected controls. Autophagy prominently enhanced presumably contributing suppressed proliferation. Further experiments revealed that such activated formation reactive oxygen species, as evidenced lack upon removal species. Conclusions These findings provide novel insight into mechanism which are influenced microenvironment including bacteria.
