摘要: Abstract With the aim of determining a possible role entorhinal cortex (EC) in processing olfactory information, its electrical activity was recorded during different types odour sampling behaviour. The EC spontaneous field potentials (EEGs) were related to those simultaneously from more rostrally lying bulb (OB) and prepiriform (PPC), using coherence functions. values are measures coupling between two neuronal populations. Auto- spectra characterized by peak s-band (35–36 Hz) another 16–20 Hz band. For s-peak PPC-EC it shown that both maximal median frequency decrease first trial two-choice discrimination task. These transients differed significantly for CS+ CS− trials. However, no such difference observed exploratory sniffing at same pair odorants. It concluded degree with PPC depends on behavioural context but not quality As regards components shown, bispectral analysis, these represent 1/2 subharmonic s-components. enhanced initiation sniffing.
