摘要: The paper synthesizes the stratigraphic results of six legs Deep Sea Drilling Project in tropical and subtropical eastern North Atlantic Ocean off West Africa as reflected by calcareous nannoplankton planktonic foraminifera. zonations adopted from various sources are partly emended. Cretaceous epoch is divided into 21 nanno-zones and/or 30 foram-zones, however, not all zones could be distinguished study area. A special section deals with distribution foraminifera Upper sediments Site 369A, yet discussed Initial Reports DSDP. derived nannofossils other compared foraminiferal ammonite record onshore atlas basins to ascertain and, if possible, refine age determinations. Though assignments fossil groups generally agree well, some questions remain unsolved especially within Early Cretaceous. By means established stratigraphical framework paleoecology preservation history region outlined briefly, followed a discussion hiatuses missing intervals. Finally paleogeography regarding motion African plate relative paleolatitudes far they may have influenced evolution pelagic assemblages.
