摘要: RNA interference (RNAi) is the sequence-specific degradation of mRNA by short double-stranded molecules. The technology, introduced only 5 years ago, has stimulated many fantasies regarding future functional gene analysis and therapy. Given its ease application, high efficiency remarkable specificity, RNAi holds great promise for broad in vitro vivo application all areas biomedicine. Despite potential, major obstacle to use (as previous silencing approaches) need efficient sustained delivery small interfering into primary mammalian cells, specific targeting particular cell types vivo.
