摘要: Number of vertebrae is associated with body size and meat productivity in pigs. The aim this study was to identify QTL positional candidate genes affecting the number thoracic (THO). A genomewide association conducted a large resource population derived from an F intercross between Landrace Korean native pigs using Porcine SNP 60K BeadChip complex trait analysis (GCTA) program based on linear mixed-effects model. total 38,385 markers 1,105 progeny were analyzed for THO after filtering quality control. 90 significant ( < 1.30 × 10) SSC 7 covering 20-Mb region identified study. Several previous studies also mapped vertebral numbers region. strongest signals detected at ASGA0035500 (-value = 4.46 10; 103,574,383 bp) DIAS0000795 103,594,753 bp). encompasses , which are previously described variation. To refine region, haplotype-based linkage disequilibrium (LALD) DualPHASE applied because subsequent conditional haplotype block analyses could not resolve that contains 2 loci. LALD refined critical 533.9-kb including ; located outside gene encoding latent transforming growth factor beta binding protein involved bone metabolisms. Based these data, we propose as After further functional verification other independent populations, results be useful optimizing breeding programs improve economically important traits
