摘要: Arabidopsis thaliana, a member of the Brassicaceae, is model plant whose genome was first higher to be sequenced. Because small size flowers, it difficult dissect and separate reproductive organs (anthers pistils) at different developmental stages in A. thaliana. In order perform genome-wide identification anther-specific genes an cDNA macroarray hybridized derived from anthers pistils another crucifer, Brassica oleracea. After scanning signal intensity for each clone, cluster analysis, 52 were identified. These clones contained several that have already been characterized, as well novel genes. RT-PCR analysis with mRNA thaliana B. oleracea, expression pattern one-third similar determined by macroarray. This system heterologous hybridization (Arabidopsis vs tissue-specific mRNA) should applicable other species their close relatives.
