摘要: Our study aimed to elucidate what extent Ginkgo biloba (Gb) can protect rats from cognitive deficits induced by exposure Bisphenol A (BPA) at high dose. Therefore, sixty male Wistar were randomly divided into four groups of 15 animals in each group: Vehicle group, Gb-control BPA-exposed group and Gb pre-treated group. All administrations given daily an oral gavage once a day for eight weeks. Cognitive function was assessed using Morris water maze; Y-maze Novel object recognition tasks. Additionally, hippocampal levels DA, NE 5-HT measured. BPA-induced oxidative stress evaluated determining SOD activity, NO MDA rat hippocampus as well level circulating adiponectin. Moreover, histopathological changes CA3 region immunohistochemical expression NF-κB Caspase-3 investigated. We found that pretreatment significantly improved performance; may be via increasing estrogen-dependent biogenic amines. At the same time, could strictly control improving activity adiponectin with decrease levels. Lastly, alleviated injuries BPA inhibited caspase-3 activation. In conclusion, our results suggested has potential ameliorate neuronal damage subsequent through mechanisms involving its ability enhance release amines antioxidant pro-secretory effects.
