摘要: The relationship between depressive disorders in the elderly and dementia, particularly Alzheimer's disease (AD), is highly complex. While nature of this still a matter debate, differential diagnosis treatment remain great clinical challenge. We review recent findings on conundrum AD. There biological continuum - or at least subgroup them subjects with depression patients AD exhibit higher circulating levels pro-inflammatory molecules lower BDNF than matched controls, CSF Aβ42 can discriminate from elderly. role antidepressant as strategy to minimize risk remains be established.
