摘要: An extensive laboratory for intact salt rock behavior research (the WATSALT Laboratory) was conceived at the University of Waterloo in 1982, and by 1984 researchers here were producing results high quality. At present, six capacity test stations creep are operating on a continuous basis. The designs developed to meet requirements constant pressure, environmentally stable testing. Self-regulating pressure control systems have been designed, they performing effectively. can range specimen sizes 100 mm diameter, stresses 200 MPa axial, 70 lateral. Creep durations extended 6 months an individual specimen. automated keep temperatures 0.1°C fluctuations within 0.1%. This paper describes approach design, triaxial cell axial load frame configuration, alternate internal piston cell, temperature systems, instrumentation, data acquisition.
