摘要: We develop a new numerical algorithm to model collisional cascades in debris disks. Because of the large dynamical range particle masses, we solve integro-differential equations describing erosive and catastrophic collisions particle-in-a-box approach, while treating orbital dynamics particles an approximate fashion. employ scheme for (cratering) that yields continuous set outcomes as function colliding masses. demonstrate stability convergence characteristics our compare it with other treatments. show incorporating effects results decay distribution is significantly faster than purely collisions.
