摘要: The lifetime of triplet benzene produced by laser excitation the 6/sup 1/ level S/sub state in a supersonic beam has been measured photoionization with an ArF excimer laser. This collision-free pertaining to vibrationally unrelaxed was found be 470 +- 50 ns. Measurement component photoion signal due decay permitted, addition, estimate quantum yield for intersystem crossing.
