摘要: In using the thermoremanent magnetisation (TRM) of material heated in antiquity (usually pottery, bricks, stones or lava) to evaluate magnitude geomagnetic field at time heating, little attention (apart from an observation by Thellier1) has been given possibility that results are affected rate which sample is cooling while TRM being acquired. We report here experimental effect archaeological baked clay; it parallels theoretical prediction Dodson and McClelland-Brown2 respect geological material.
