摘要: AIM This study investigated the pattern of resorption mandibular ridge under implant-supported overdentures. MATERIAL AND METHODS Files 60 patients were available for analysis (45 women and 15 men, mean age at time follow-up 76.5 ± 8.5 years, 54 restored with bars, 6 ball anchors). A baseline was defined by different stable landmarks quartered. Linear measurements from this clinical relevant sites approximately at: (i) area close to mental foramen/close implant, (ii) chewing center, (iii) distal edge denture flange carried out on rotational tomograms (OPTs). The OPTs taken after prosthetic restoration an individual (mean 11 4.75 years). known implant length served scale each measurement avoid any distortion errors. RESULTS The rate showed a high variation, but among three sites, difference highly significant. Median values site left = -0.07 mm/right +0.05 mm, -0.60 -0.55 -1.58 -2.01 mm. CONCLUSIONS The load overdenture increases bone as local factor, whereas implants may help prevent in neighboring bone. An individual-adapted protocol should be established patient overdenture.
